FAQ

Discover our system of blocks, modular and easy to assemble!

– OSB (Oriented Strand Board) is a multi-layered panel consisting mainly of thin
strips of wood, oriented and bonded together with a resin.
– Plastic: Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene or ABS is a thermoplastic polymer with
good impact strength, rigid, lightweight and injection moldable.

– The used wood panels are of natural origin, manufactured from “thinning”
wood. This expression means that trees have been cut down in order to facilitate
the development of other varieties and therefore from forests managed
sustainably.

OSB is therefore environmentally friendly and totally recyclable.

– Module 1 (in mm): 399 X 99 X 250
– Module 2 (in mm): 99 X 99 X 250
– Window and door integration module (in mm): 999 X 99 X 250

– OnoBloc® brick (in mm) of 399 X 99 X 250: 3 kg
– OnoBloc® brick (in mm) 99 X 99 X 250: 95 grams

– OnoBloc® brick is not dangerous to health. Even though there is a small portion of formaldehyde in OSB, it is not due to
glues, but to the fact that glue is also present in nature and, in this case, in pine
wood.
– As a result, wood panels are never 100% formaldehyde free, so it is important
to focus more on the actual level of formaldehyde in the panel, which is
currently minimal or negligible.
– All the glues are natural and / or Blue Angel certified and do not present any
risk of allergies or irritation.

– No, an OnoBloc® brick wall is not a load-bearing wall and is not suitable for
adding or fixing any structures or surfaces on top of it.

For optimum results, a U-shaped partition will always be recommended; it will offer a greater stability and a better resistance to external thrust.

– See the manual.
– If the ground is level :
Align the blocks and nest them in a staggered pattern.
– If the ground is not level :
Screw / glue a rail to the ground (U-shaped standard profile of 100 mm wide
available in DIY stores) that is leveled with calluses, then interlock and line up
the OnoBloc® bricks to each other.
– For optimum results, a U-shaped fixture will provide greater stability even
without a rail / profile attached to the floor, provided that the floor is smooth and
level.

– Yes, if the floor is raw concrete and if the mounting requires a rail / profile on
the ground, do not forget to previously lay a seal / sealing strip under the rail
before fixing it.
– With OnoBloc®, this process will not be necessary if the ground is level, even on raw concrete. The base of the brick OnoBloc® being waterproof plastic and resistant, it will
indeed act as a seal.

Yes and International Patent Pending

– Yes, when the ground surface is not level.
– Yes, when the ground surface is not level and the OnoBloc® brick assembly
does not rest on any existing walls or side surfaces even if the partition is
doubled. (Example: OnoBloc® brick partition in the middle of a room).
– For best results, a U-shaped partition will always be recommended and offers
greater stability and resistance to external thrust.

– See the manual.
– Mount the standard bricks according to the usage rules, cut the bricks of the
last row to measure and along their length, leaving a free space of at least 2 mm
between the bricks and the ceiling to insert and fix a metal angled profile
(available in DIY stores).
– For an optimal result, repeat the operation on each side and join each brick on
the last row to the angled profile using screws.

– See the manual.
– As for the ground fixing, fix the U-profile against the wall and perpendicular to
the floor, then join the bricks a staggered way.
– For optimal results, as you are building up the rows, secure with screws and
pegs, every other brick in the wall, making sure that the brick is level and fully
interlocked before finally tightening the screw.

WARNING!!! It is absolutely compulsory to fix (according to the rules of
practice) 2 rails on the ground in order to double the partition, and this even if
the surface on the ground is right and level.

For optimum results, a U-shaped partition will provide greater stability and
resistance to external thrust.

– 168 units of OnoBloc® bricks (in mm) of 399 X 99 X 250
– 756 OnoBloc® brick units (in mm) 99 X 99 X 250

– Not if you want to be able to move the partition to reuse the OnoBloc® bricks
later for another application.
– The plastic frames of the OnoBloc® brick have been specially designed to have, during their interlocking and without additions of glues, nails or screws a “suction cup” effect that guarantees an effective joining of the OnoBloc® bricks together.

– Yes if we wish to have a static partition that is permanently fixed.
– Yes when applying a bead of glue specific to the bonding of plastics together.
– For an optimal result, in addition to bonding the plastics together, a glue bead
specific to the bonding of the wood between them will be applied to the contact
surfaces of the OnoBloc® brick.

– Yes, a color range of plastic gaskets will be available to order.
– The reference color will be the “cream” color for an “invisible” effect between
the bricks.

– Yes, OnoBloc® brick is a product with a design and finished look.

– Yes, directly after assembly if you respect the rules of use by laying a bonding
layer (primary) followed by finishing layers according to the desired result.
– Paints exist for all types of supports in DIY stores.
– For an optimal and perfectly smooth result, it is possible to fix plasterboards on
the partition and cover them with the desired finish.

– Yes, by yourself and / or on request for: your exhibition stands, your private or
professional events, the visibility of your company…
– The customized OnoBloc® bricks will be delivered numbered, packed and
accompanied by a clear assembly diagram specific to your order.

– Yes, because of its intrinsic properties OSB category 3 offers a significant
resistance to moisture (see technical sheet of the panel used), however, for
optimal results, we recommend to fix on the partition, drywall treated against
moisture (green panels) and cover them with the desired finish.

– The fire resistance is variable according to the category of the wood panel that
is used.
– For best results, we recommend to fix the fire-resistant plasterboard (red
panels) on the wall and cover them with the desired finish.

– The acoustic performance of OnoBloc® brick can be improved by :
– The application of a double bead of mastic over the entire height of the side
surfaces in contact with each other.
– Filling the hollow part of the OnoBloc® brick with sand.

– Yes, as long as you follow the manual.
– There is 1 standard module for integrating doors and windows (see Ono- Doors® and Ono-Dows® range).

– Lengthwise: yes.
– Heightwise: yes, if the cut element is then interlocked between two complete elements.
– If the cut element is not inserted between two complete elements, add a cut or recovered wooden plate to fill the empty space.

– Jigsaw.
– Telescopic miter saw.
– Band saw.

– No, since this product is intended for indoor use only.

– Yes, provided that the diameter of the pipes does not exceed the hollow width between the two lateral faces and that the electric cables are not stripped.

– Yes, the OnoBloc® brick can be easily integrated into a new construction to
create railings, to double walls, to install interior partitions before and / or after
the installation of false ceilings…

– Yes, to create new spaces, modular partitions, furniture…

– No, the use of the OnoBloc® brick is specifically intended for interior design or
renovation.
